Port of Rotterdam gives a discount to inland barges


The Port of Rotterdam that has been s a loyal Green Award incentive provider for sea-going vessels since the establishment of the foundation, will also provide a discount to inland vessels certified by Green Award from the 1st of January 2012.

The Port Authority strives to create a safe, efficient, complete and clean port for all 100,000 inland vessels that call at Rotterdam each year. The statement of the port says that it has been agreed that clean vessels will receive a discount and the most polluting vessels will pay more in 2012. Vessels complying with the CCNR2 requirements and that avail over a Green Award certificate will receive a 15% discount on the port dues.
