Green Award Tariffs 2003 equal to 2002

Following the latest Committee meeting, the management team of Green Award is pleased to
advise that for the year 2003, the Green Award Tariffs will not increase. This means, that the Tariffs 2002 are to be maintained.

This is the first time in the history of Green Award that we can afford not to increase the tariffs. We are glad to share this success of Green Award with our participants and are grateful to them for their efforts and confidence.

Green Award goes Japan

Green Award is proud to be invited as a speaker at a symposium in Tokyo concerning incentive schemes in Tokyo. On January 9 Green Award will give a presentation about the Green Award system. In addition to that, Green Award is planning to visit the Japanese authorities and other relevant maritime organisations in order to encourage Japanese supporters for the Green Award Scheme.

More information -in the Japanese language- about the Green Award system can be found here.

Green Award Plaquette for Murex

M/T Murex is the first Green Award vessel with the restyled Green Award Plaquette.

Master of the Murex Capt. N. Papic received the Green Award certificate officially from Green Award's Capt. Rob den Heijer. After that, Ms. Karin Struijk handed the plaquette on behalf of Green Award over to Mr. Frank Ollerhead, Shell Superintendant.

Green Award Vessels rewarded again by Dutch Pilots

Following on our announcement in our latest Newsflash, we are glad to inform our certificate holders that the second payments of the incentives, granted by The Dutch Pilot's Corporation, recently have been remitted.

Safety and quality are highly valued within the policy of the Corporation. The Dutch Pilot Corporation ensures the safety of the vessels and the environment in which they operate by providing highly trained and skilled pilots. Therefore the Corporation expresses her appreciation towards the implemented quality and safety standards of Green Award certified vessels.

From the start of Green Award, The Dutch Pilot's Organisation has been a firm supporter to Green Award. We are grateful to them for their continuous trust in the development of Green Award and its participants.
