Tariffs unchanged

Following the latest Committee meeting, the management of Green Award is pleased to advise that for the year 2007, the Green Award Tariffs will not increase.

This is the fifth time in the history of Green Award that due to the introduction of new processes and technology we are able to share efficiencies gained with our valued certificate holders.

This means that the tariffs for application fees, office audit fees and annual fees are still on the level of 2002. If the inflation rate over the past years is taken into account, it can be determined that - in fact - the GA tariffs have been decreased.

We are glad to share this success of Green Award with our participants and are grateful to them for their efforts and confidence.

Office audits in 2006

Renewed Office Certificate for Kristen Navigation Inc.

The office of Kristen Navigation Inc. in Athens, Greece, recently successfully withstood the three-year Green Award Renewal Office Audit, carried out in June 2006. Subsequently, the Green Award Office Certificate would be valid for another three years, i.e. up to November 2009.

Kristen Navigation Inc. was founded as a Ship Management Company in November 1992 with the purpose of offering quality services to the shipping industry. Kristen Navigation Inc is part of the Angelicoussis Shipping Group Limited. The history of the Group in the shipping activities started in 1947 in the dry cargo sector and later was expanded to oil cargoes. The transportation of the other forms of energy products recently attracted also the interest of the Group. In 2003 the group diversified into the LNG sector and orders four LNG carriers were placed.

The Group maintains an excellent balance of experience and education with the employment of Management staff consisting of Sea Going Senior Officers and University graduates. Today it employs a staff of approximately 200 Shore Side Professionals and as well as over 1,500 Officers and Ratings. In order to ensure that it provides a uniform and high quality shipping service to its clients, the Angelicoussis Shipping Group has set up in house Ship Management Companies to manage its fleet. These companies operate out of the Head Office in Greece and are responsible for their respective fleet of ships. These activities are: Operations, Technical Management, Training, Manning, Purchasing, Accounting.

In today's structure, the Group is consisting of the following shipping companies:

• Anangel Shipping Enterprises S.A, Dry Cargo Vessels, established in 1971.
• Anangel Maritime Services, established in 1992, operating a fleet of twenty (20) vessels.
• Kristen Navigation Inc., Tanker Vessels.
• Maran Gas Maritime Inc, LNG and LPG Carriers, established in 2004, operating a fleet of three (3) LNG vessels.

At present, after fourteen successful years of operation, the fleet managed by Kristen Navigation Inc., comprises twenty five (25) tankers, of all three main size categories i.e. VLCC, SUEZMAX and AFRAMAX, which in total exceeds 5.5 million DWT, with an average age of less than 5,9 years. In addition another thirteen, 13, other tankers of various sizes, VLCC-SuezMax and Aframax, are under construction. Their delivery dates are spread till 2009.Kristen Navigation Inc. is a well-recognised leader in the Oil Transportation Industry and provides marine expertise and safe, reliable transportation services to its clients such as Oil Majors, Refiners and Traders.

Only very recently, Nov 6, 2006, Kristen Navigation Inc.'s ASTRO CHALLENGE, a modern VLCC of 306,000 DWT, was awarded Green Award certification. Astro Challenge is company's fourteenth (14) unit being certified by the Bureau. Foregoing proves very clearly, first and foremost, that we, at Kristen Navigation Inc. are very firm supporters in Green Award's aims. It also underlines the long-standing relationship between the Green Award Bureau and Kristen Navigation Inc.
