Paul Markides Green Award Committee member

Paul Markides, Director of OCIMF, has joined the Green Award Committee.

Paul Markides, a Master Mariner, has spent almost his whole career in the Oil Industry. Coming ashore in 1985 he has held a number of management positions in ExxonMobil's marine organisations. He managed the Fawley Marine Terminal in the UK, was the Marine Operations Manager of the Esso Petroleum Fleet, was Safety, Health & Environment Manager of International Marine Transportation Ltd (IMT) and most recently was Marine Manager for Mobil Oil Australia based in Melbourne. He joined OCIMF as its Director in May 2003.

OCIMF (Oil Companies International Marine Forum) is a voluntary association of oil companies having an interest in the shipment and terminalling of crude oil and oil products.

The mission of OCIMF is to be the foremost authority on the safe and environmentally responsible operation of oil tankers and terminals, promoting continuous improvement in standards of design and operation.

Green Award is delighted that Mr. Markides is willing to make his experience available in order to contribute to the further development of Green Award.
