The port of Dordrecht gives a 15% discount on harbor dues

A 15% discount is now applicable to inland barges with the Green Award certificate calling at the port of Dordrecht.

Starting from the 1st of January 2012 inland vessels with the Green Award certificate are recognized and encouraged through a discount of 15% by the port of Dordrecht.
The port of Dordrecht has an open link with the North Sea, about 25 nautical miles away via the Oude Maas and the New Waterway. The port is accessible to ocean-going vessels with draughts of up to 31 feet and cargo capacities of up to 30,000 dwt. As a traditional transit point between ocean shipping and inland shipping, the port of Dordrecht is first and foremost a transshipment port.

There are several docks along the Lower Merwede and Oude Maas for inland vessels. The largest of these are the 1st, 2nd en 3rd Merwedehavens. The others are the Binnen Kalkhaven, Bomhaven, Wolwevershaven and Riedijkhaven. The principal riverside quays are the Handelskade, Buiten Kalkhaven, Hooikade, Buiten Walevest, Groothoofd, Merwekade and Wantijkkade.

Coasters can be accommodated at the Handelskade, Buitenkalkhaven and 2nd and 3rd Merwedehavens. The lower part of the Handelskade is for clearance of inward and outward bound coasters.
