Portal
Green Award replaces the old Excel sheet with a digital portal for recording travel and fuel data. This will make registration simpler, more accurate and easier to analyse. From Q2 2025, registration will only be possible via this portal. Links with other applications, such as Shipping Technology, to retrieve CO₂ data are being worked on. The CO₂ data will be processed anonymously and only shared with the permission of the inland shipping entrepreneur.
Registration
The CO2 registration via the portal is possible for ships with and without a Green Award certificate (including river cruise ships). Applications can be made at inlandshipping@greenaward.org .
Benefits via incentive providers
The Port of Rotterdam Authority is the first to offer a 5% discount on inland harbour dues for entrepreneurs who share CO₂ data. Green Award is in talks with other parties considering rewarding CO2 data sharing as well.
