Twente Port Authority recognizes inland vessels certified by Green Award. In order to encourage socially responsible behavior, the Port Authority gives Green Award certificate holders a discount according to the level their ship has achieved within the certification scheme. Gold, silver and bronze levels will be rewarded from 1 January 2017. To mark this cooperation, Jan Fransen, executive director of Green Award Foundation, handed over the Green Award plaque to Mariska ten Heuw from the Board of the Port of Twente and Gerry Waanders manager Twente Port Authority on 3 February.
