Milestone: 30 years of the Green Award Foundation!

Today we mark a milestone: 30 years ago, the Green Award Foundation set in motion its mission to guide the maritime sector to the highest standards of safety and sustainability.
At our inception, sustainability in shipping was still in its pioneering phase, and it is heartening to see how widespread this concept has now been embraced. All over the world, for lots of ship types in maritime and inland shipping. And with hundreds of parties recognising and rewarding a Green Award certificate.
Our collective efforts in the field of safety and sustainability – with great attention to the crew – are perfectly in line with the challenges we face together. This is also demonstrated by the fact that we address no less than 13 Sustainable Development Goals in our programmes.
