In 2018, NPRC was the first inland shipping cooperative to offer its members a contribution towards Green Award certification costs. NPRC is going one step further. Retroactive to 1 January 2022, the inland shipping cooperative will pay 100% of its members’ certificate costs.
Commercial Development Manager Robert van Vliet: “Sustainability is self-evident within NPRC and is high on our customers’ agenda. As a cooperative, we support the greening of ships both morally and financially. Green and safe shipping is the future!”
Green Award’s Executive Director Jan Fransen is delighted with NPRC’s decision: “With this nice extra incentive, we expect that even more inland shipping entrepreneurs will want to make visible their efforts towards a better environment for us all.”
