Additionally, financial incentives from participating ports offer a valuable benefit. 

Safer Seas, Cleaner Oceans 

MOL’s efforts to build a cleaner and safer maritime sector are guided by its long-term sustainability strategy, BLUE ACTION 2035. This roadmap aims for a 45% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 2035 compared to 2019 levels, anchored in the company’s core values: Challenge, Honesty, Accountability, Reliability, Teamwork, and Safety (MOL CHARTS). 

To support this vision, MOL invests in technologies such as its proprietary Propeller Boss Cap Fins (PBCF), which enhance fuel efficiency and reduce emissions, and the Wind Challenger, a wind-assisted propulsion system that cuts fuel use and lowers environmental impact. 

Safety goes hand in hand with sustainability at MOL. The company holds biannual Safety Campaigns across its managed fleet, during which senior management visit ships in person to present campaign themes and engage with crew. These visits reinforce a culture of care, strengthen ship-shore communication, and support the shared goal of operational excellence.
