Green Award Requirements 

(for ship and office)

Scope

The Green Award requirements focus on two main scopes:

  • Regulations with LOW & SLOW implementation with the aim to maintain, increase and speed-up the process
  • Beyond regulations & standards by selecting best practices to assist the Certificate Holders to remain front-runners

Composition

The Green award requirements consist of three parts:

  1. Basic requirements (statutory elements related to ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS)
  2. Ranking requirements (weighted items, minimum % to be attained)
  3. Visual inspections (seaworthiness, good housekeeping) – SHIP ONLY

 

The requirements are split into five main sections, as listed below:

  • Basic Office used during Office Audits, which takes place at the premises of the ISM ship manager of the ship
  • Ranking Office used during Office Audits, which takes place at the premises of the ISM ship manager of the ship
  • Basic Ship used during onboard Ship Surveys
  • Ranking Ship used during onboard Ship Surveys
  • Visual used as a guidance for our auditors to verify the general visual maintenance during onboard ship surveys
