The third region is now covered by Lubrication Engineers, namely New Zealand. In selected southern and western European countries Green Award stakeholders have already for a couple of years been entitled to a discount on environmentally acceptable lubricants. Lubrication Engineers NZ will provide discounts on its products to Green Award ports and certificate holders in New Zealand region
Green Award is a certification and incentive program for shipping aiming together with its stakeholders to contribute globally to sustainable waterborne transport. Green Award certified inland and seagoing vessels meet safety and environment-related requirements that go above the industry regulations. Organizations and ports participate in the program providing incentives to stimulate further improvement and mitigation of the environmental footprint by the maritime industry.
Lubrication Engineers NZ Ltd is part of a global network that supplies high performance Lubricants and Equipment to all industries worldwide. LE’s enhanced lubricants, made of highly refined base oils and proprietary additives far exceed the performance of conventional lubricants in a variety of applications. Two other local offices of Lubrication Engineers in Europe have joined Green Award earlier.
Now Green Award welcomes Lubrication Engineers NZ Ltd that will provide discounts up to 10% on their products in New Zealand. Green Award stakeholders are entitled to a 5% discounts on Lubrication Engineers Lubricant and Fuel Additive, the Viper Wire Rope Lubricator and accessories, Oilsafe transfer range and ARS (Asset Reliability Solutions) products. On LE’s Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants (EAL) the discount will be 10%. The incentive is applicable to Green Award ports, certified ships and companies.
Green Award is glad to have a new incentive provider in New Zealand. In the country alone, 3 ports participate in the Green Award program: CentrePort Wellington, Port Nelson and Port Taranaki. The proactive approach of organisations based in New Zealand through their participation in the Green Award program, contributes to fighting environmental pollution and creating awareness in that sensitive area.
