Ankron to offer discounts on water sampling and analysis to certified ships

Green Award Foundation welcomes another Incentive Provider to its network; Ankron Water Services GmbH. Ankron is a German-based provider of independent testing and consulting services and will offer Green Award certified ships 5% discount on all their water sampling and analysis. The company supports ship owners, manufacturers and authorities in meeting international standards in development, type approval and proper operation of water treatment plants and related equipment.
Ankron has set itself the goal of helping its customers to meet the sometimes very complex requirements for water treatment systems, to demonstrate sufficient performance for the relevant permits and to ensure safe operation for people and environment.
In order to be able to offer customers high-quality solutions, it is of crucial importance for Ankron to keep abreast of the current state of the art and to participate in the development and standardization of methods and tools.
The network of ports, ship managers, charterers, maritime service providers and authorities set up by Green Award aims to raise awareness of sustainable and environmentally friendly shipping and to increase motivation to take appropriate action.

Green Award is a platform for promoting safety, quality and environmental performance in shipping by facilitating a network of incentive providers with a wide range of benefits for certificate holders. Prevention of pollution to water has always been one of the main drivers within the Green Award program, and the addition of Ankron to the network will only add value to the program with also the opportunity to learn more from Ankron’s expertise.
As an incentive provider, Ankron identifies with the core values of Green Award and supports the common goal of promoting environmental protection, quality and safety in shipping by complying with the applicable standards at a technically high level.
