Green Award in Trade Delegation to India

2 April 2023

Green Award participates in the upcoming Dutch Trade Delegation to India, organized by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). The delegation is focusing on water management and the maritime sector and will visit New Delhi (3-4 April) and Mumbai (5-6 April). Mr. Mark Harbers, minister of Infrastructure and Water Management, is heading the delegation. He is supported by the Dutch ambassador in New Delhi, Mr. Marten van den Berg.

For Green Award, this trade delegation is a perfect opportunity to meet with Indian maritime authorities and representatives of the Indian maritime industry to strengthen existing relationships and to establish new collaborations. Green Award will promote its certification programme for both inland navigation and seagoing. With both programmes Green Award promotes the pursuit of the highest standards in the maritime industry. Certified ships are offered various financial and non-financial incentives by selected providers such as ports, shipping organisations and maritime services and products suppliers.

In New Delhi the Dutch delegation members participate in multiple matchmaking events and will meet the Indian minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Mr. Sarbananda Sonowal. In Mumbai, the delegation will visit the port and more networking and matchmaking events are on the agenda as well.

Green Award will be represented by its executive director Jan Fransen.
